DENVER, April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Intermap
Technologies (TSX:IMP), (ITMSF:BB), a leading provider of
geospatial solutions on-demand created from its uniform,
high-resolution 3D digital models of the earth's surface, today
announced the addition of software and technology sales veteran
Jon Freeman to its senior management
team as the Vice President of Sales. Mr. Freeman brings twenty
years of consistent sales production and executive management
experience to the position along with a successful record for
business development in a variety of software/high-tech industries.
In his new role at Intermap, Mr. Freeman will be responsible for
managing the Company's worldwide sales team while also leading the
expansion of its Orion Platform™ business into new territories,
channels and vertical markets.
"As more and more commercial enterprises and governments turn to
software solutions to help them address their location-based
problems, we realized that we needed an experienced software sales
executive to lead our sales efforts around the world," said
Todd Oseth, President and CEO of
Intermap. "Jon's extensive experience and expertise as a top sales
leader working for progressive software companies will be
invaluable to us as we continue to expand our customer base and
seek out geospatial solutions opportunities in new regions,
channels and industries around the world."
Mr. Freeman most recently served as Vice President Sales for
Solarwinds/Confio Software Inc. a leading provider of software
solutions delivering database, server, storage, and networking
tools. During his tenure he delivered consistent year-over-year
growth in new business revenue, delivered record quarterly sales,
and drove new efficient and successful organizational structures.
Prior to that, Mr. Freeman served as area vice president for
Xirrus, Inc., a global manufacturer and provider of innovative
Wi-Fi products and services. During his nearly seven-year tenure
with Xirrus, Mr. Freeman was responsible for helping to build the
company's OEM program and expand sales efforts, ultimately
increasing the company's top-line growth by 300% while managing a
team of regional managers and engineers. Prior to joining Xirrus,
Mr. Freeman was a director of sales at Intel Corp.
"Intermap is a thought leader in providing complete geospatial
solutions to its customers. They are one of the first companies to
recognize that delivering raw data is not as important as what you
do with that data. Their complete Orion Platform based solutions
approach to selling, which includes powerful analytics based
software applications, sets them apart in the geospatial market
place. That type of innovative and customer-centric thinking -
backed by a team of experienced software developers and engineers -
will ultimately make Intermap the leader in the industry. I look
forward to joining Intermap's executive team and helping the
Company to exceed their growth projections," said Mr. Freeman.
