Investment in Securistyle Holdings Limited


August Equity Trust plc ('AET') is pleased to announce it has realised its
investment in Securistyle Holdings Limited ('Securistyle') through the sale of
the company in a #42.3 million management buy-out backed by Bank of Scotland
Integrated Finance ('BoSIF').  The investment was held indirectly through August
Equity Partners IV ('AEP IV').  AET's share of the realisation proceeds is #6.3
million. This is #2.7 million over the valuation as at 30 June 2006.  The
realisation of Securistyle, together with the recently announced exits from ETT
and Kangol Holdings Limited, has generated an uplift of 5.9% on the net asset
value per 5p Ordinary Share to 330.2p per share from 311.7p per 5p Ordinary
Share as at 30 June 2006.


AEP IV is a limited partnership to which AET has committed #50 million.  AET and
AEP IV are both managed by August Equity Limited ('AEL').  AET will announce its
financial results for the year ended 31 December 2006 in February 2007.


AET hopes to announce the completion of a new investment within the next few
days.
