Schuyler, M.D. Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Schuyler joins MEDecision from Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of New Jersey, where he was executive medical director. As CMO, Dr. Schuyler will be responsible for overseeing MEDecision�s clinical leadership and excellence. The discussion, titled �The Use of Patient Clinical Information to Affect Care,� will take place at 3:55 p.m. EDT at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. Dr. Schuyler served in an executive capacity at Horizon BCBS since August 2004. He was responsible for concurrent medical management, medical policy, appeals and process redesign and development of integrated medical management. Prior to joining Horizon, Dr. Schuyler spent 17 years in managed care administration, including time with the former U.S. Healthcare and Aetna, last serving in the role of senior medical director. His earlier clinical and academic experience includes six years as associate director of a family practice residency training program affiliated with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and four years in the private practice of family medicine. Dr. Schuyler completed his undergraduate studies at Williams College. He earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and completed a combined Family Medicine and Psychiatry residency/fellowship at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
