Argo Real Estate Opportunities Fund Limited

("AREOF" or "the Company")

Statement Re: Suspension

Further to the suspension of trading in the Company's ordinary shares on AIM on 30 August 2013 pending an announcement, the Company announces that it has received from Proton Bank ("Proton") a termination notice in respect of its financing facility of approximately EUR28.2 million.

The Company has been and continues to be in discussions with Proton, and it is the Company's current belief that Proton does not intend to terminate this financing facility, and that this termination notice will shortly be withdrawn.

The Company expects that trading on AIM of its ordinary shares will remain suspended whilst status of the termination notice is resolved.

Further announcements will be made in due course.
