WILMINGTON, Del., March 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TMM, Inc.
(OTC PNK: TMMI) ("TMM" or "the Company"), today announced that it
will be conducting private demonstrations of its TRUDEF video
compression software during the 2014 National Association of
Broadcasters Conference in Las
Vegas from April 7 through April 10,
2014.
TRUDEF is TMMI's proprietary fractal-based video compression
technology, which promises users "Better pictures. Smaller
files."
Originally built in the 1990's, the TRUDEF™ codec
demonstrations have been scheduled with high-volume bandwidth users
such as Content Developers; and Content Delivery Networks as well
as with high-value users such as digital camera, TV monitor and
peripheral equipment manufacturers; along with closed loop networks
and special systems integrators.
TRUDEF demonstrations will be at an off-site location, on an
invitation-only schedule. Most attendees are potential strategic
partners and prospective customers who have submitted their own
test footage to be compressed using the TRUDEF codec.
Demonstrations to compression user cable TV, streaming media and
closed loop networks will be presented on a special mobile 55" 4K
UHD monitor.
"Attendees will have the opportunity to evaluate TRUDEF's
performance in private, based on pre-set parameters, according to
their specific user needs," said TMM, Inc. CEO Gerard Cavanaugh. "They can evaluate the
advantages of TRUDEF technology first-hand according to their
real-world applications."
"That's a distinct differentiator for TRUDEF," Cavanaugh said,
"Depending on the customer's workflow, distribution channel or
special circumstances, each user can pre-set target metrics for
quality, bandwidth, compression ratios, speed, data storage
and energy consumption and optimize their results."
Our patented TRUDEF™ compression technology holds
significant potential for a number of exciting applications that
address the global demand for better bandwidth utilization. The
potential to significantly reduce bandwidth requirements and
improve video quality makes TRUDEF™ an ideal candidate
to be a disruptive force in Digital Cinema; HDTV; Intelligence,
Surveillance and Reconnaissance; gaming and streaming media
applications. We are engaged in active discussions with several
commercial customers to license our technology."
