Canadian Shield Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: EXP) ("Canadian Shield" or the "Company"), a precious metals exploration and development company, is pleased to announce it has retained First Canadian Capital Corp. ("First Canadian") as a consultant to provide strategic marketing and investor relation services.

First Canadian will introduce the Company to private investors, analysts, brokers, money managers and other financial professionals, and will generate market awareness for Canadian Shield as the Company advances its portfolio of projects in Peru and Chile.

Under the terms of the agreement, Canadian Shield will pay First Canadian $5,000 per month for a twelve month initial term and grant 200,000 stock options (the "Stock Options") with a two year expiry. The Stock Options will vest according to the Company's stock option plan in stages over 18 months from the date of grant with 1/6 of the Stock Options vesting at the end of every 3 month period. The first 66,666 Stock Options to vest are exercisable at $0.60 per share, the second 66,666 Stock Options to vest are exercisable at $0.80 per share and the final 66,668 are exercisable at $1.00 per share.

First Canadian's appointment as an investor relations consultant of Canadian Shield and the granting of the Stock Options are subject to regulatory approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
