Dell Inc. (DELL) named Steve Felice president and chief
commercial officer to lead all of its customer business segments as
Paul Bell intends to retire as president of the public and large
enterprise units.
Felice joined Dell in 1999 and is currently president of
consumer, small and medium business. The computer maker said he
will now lead a unified sales and marketing organization, effective
Feb. 4.
Bell, who joined Dell 15 years ago, intends to retire March
30.
Dell has broadened its business scope in recent years to become
more of a one-stop shop for servers, storage, networking and
services. The increased diversification has helped mitigate the
impact of slowing personal computer sales. Dell reported in
November its fiscal third-quarter earnings rose 8.6% despite a 0.2%
dip in revenue, due in part to better margins.
Shares recently traded at $15.14, down 3 cents.
