            Virotec placing to raise #2.1 million (before expenses)

Virotec International plc ("Virotec" or the "Company") (AIM: VTI) proposes to
raise #2,082,000 (before expenses) in a conditional placing (the "Placing") with
institutions arranged by Numis Securities Limited ("Numis").  The Placing will
involve the issue of 17,350,000 new ordinary shares in the Company at a price of
12p per share (the "New Shares").  Immediately following the Placing the total
number of issued ordinary shares with voting rights is expected to be
257,512,442.

The proceeds from the Placing will be used to fund Virotec's continuing
expansion in the USA and other ongoing operations.

Numis has agreed conditionally, pursuant to a placing agreement dated the date
hereof between Numis and the Company (the "Placing Agreement"), as agent for the
Company to use its reasonable endeavours to procure placees to subscribe for the
New Shares.  The Placing is not being underwritten by Numis.  The Placing
Agreement is conditional, inter alia, upon admission of the Placing Shares to
trading on AIM ("Admission") having become effective by 8.30 a.m. on 2 April
2007, or such later date (being no later than 8.30 a.m. on 16 April 2007), as
the Company and Numis may agree.  The Placing Agreement contains certain
warranties granted by Virotec to Numis.  The Placing Agreement is also
terminable in certain circumstances up until the time of Admission, including
for a breach of the Company's obligations under the Placing Agreement or for a
breach of warranty in a manner which is material in the context of the Placing,
or in the event of force majeure or a material adverse change in the financial
condition of the Company.

The New Shares will rank from issue pari passu in all respects with the existing
Virotec ordinary shares in issue.  It is expected that Admission will become
effective by 8.30 a.m. on 2 April 2007.
