GEM DIAMONDS AUSTRALIA LIMITED
NOTICES OF VARIATION - EXTENSION OF OFFER PERIODS
AND LETTER TO SHARE AND OPTION HOLDERS

The Company has been served with notices of variation in relation to extension
of the share and option offers by Gem Diamonds Australia, lodged with the
Australian Securities & Investments Commission, the Australian Securities
Exchange and dispatched to Kimberley shareholders and optionholders today. The
close periods in respect to the share offer and option offer have been extended
to 17 December and 18 December respectively.
