                       ("Elitel Telecom" or the "Group"),

The Board of Elitel Telecom (AIM: ETM), the independent Italian
telecommunications group, announced on 2 March 2007 that Vive La Vie SpA  and
Telvia SpA had acquired a 58.01% interest in the Group and that Mr Giorgio
Fatarella, Chairman and Chief Executive of Vive La Vie SpA, had been appointed
Chief Executive of Elitel Telecom.  The Board of Elitel Telecom has today
announced that Luigi Bocchino, the Group's executive Vice President, has
resigned from the Board with immediate effect.


Federico D'Este Chairman of Elitel Telecom commented:

"The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Luigi for his valuable
contribution to the Company over the years and we wish him all the best for the
future".

The Board also announces that it has called the Company Shareholders Meeting for
the 27th March 2007 at 11.30. The Shareholders meeting will be held at the
Company's offices in Milan, Via Mecenate 90. The agenda for the Shareholder
meeting concerns resolutions pursuant to art. 2364, comma 1, section 2 and 3 of
the Italian civil code (related to the appointment of the Board of Directors,
appointment of the Board of Statutory Auditors and remuneration for the Board of
Directors).
