Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) has notified a/s "Latvijas Unibanka" of
the acquisition of ordinary shares with voting rights and the par value Ls 1 in
a/s "Latvijas Unibanka".  The acquired shares represent 1.52% of Unibanka's
share capital.

After the acquisition of the above public shares SEB now owns the total of
18,675,743 shares in Unibanka, which represent 50.37% of the share capital
voting capital.  Before the completion of the above transaction SEB owned the
total of 18,110,743 shares or 48.85% of Unibanka's share capital.
