Mercer, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, today
launched Mercer/Signal: US Health Care Reform, a new content
portal that offers a steady stream of information and insight on
the rapidly transforming health care environment and what these
changes mean to employers and employees.
In addition to sharing Mercer’s own research and observations,
Mercer/Signal: US Health Care Reform will draw content from
a wide range of other credible sources, with commentary added by
Mercer’s experts. Content will be updated daily. Visitors are asked
to register, but there is no charge.
Tracy Watts, Mercer’s US Health Care Reform Leader, and Beth
Umland, Director of Research for Employee Health & Benefits at
Mercer, are leading the new content portal, supported by a team of
Mercer subject matter experts representing all facets of health
reform and health benefits. “Many employers find it difficult to
wade through the torrent of information on health care reform and
determine what’s relevant to their organization,” said Ms. Watts.
“We created this new content portal as a one-stop source to help
employers and others stay up to date, with news and insights
delivered through articles, infographics, podcasts, videos,
research, and more.”
Mercer/Signal: US Health Care Reform will cover a range
of practical, regulatory, and legislative topics related to health
reform, including the development of private exchanges such as
Mercer Marketplace, the public exchanges, voluntary benefits, and
retiree medical coverage.
“The Affordable Care Act has produced the most significant
changes to the US health care system since Medicare was established
in 1965,” said Bernie Walsh, leader of Mercer’s US Health &
Benefits Business. “Through Mercer/Signal: US Health Care
Reform, we aim to strengthen our position as a valued
partner in helping employers address the challenges they face
around both health reform and broader health benefit issues.”
Employers, journalists, and others may sign up for the
Mercer/Signal: US Health Care Reform content portal at
http://ushealthnews.mercer.com. Subscribers will gain access to all
content, be able to comment and engage in conversations, and
receive a weekly email announcing new content. Content from the
portal also will be shared through LinkedIn and on Twitter
@MercerUSHealth.
