AmSouth Bank (NYSE: ASO) has announced that its branches along the Gulf Coast from the New Orleans area east to Walton County, Florida, including southern Mississippi, will be closed Monday, August 29. In Louisiana, branches will be closed in the New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Hammond areas; in Mississippi, branches from Natchez east to Laurel and those farther south will be closed; in Alabama, all branches in Mobile and Baldwin counties will be closed; and in Florida, branches in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties will be closed.
