                    UNILEVER BOARD CHANGES

Mr R H P Markham was elected to the Boards of Unilever N.V.
and Unilever PLC at the annual general meetings in Rotterdam
and London today.  As previously announced he succeeds, as
Strategy & Technology Director, Dr J I W Anderson who did not
seek re-election to the Boards and has retired.

All resolutions put before shareholders at the annual meetings
were adopted.
