                  Disposal of Shares in The Wigmore Group plc

Artisan (UK) plc announces that it has today sold 4,300,000 ordinary shares of
1p each in The Wigmore Group plc. Artisan (UK) plc now holds 4,258,000 ordinary
shares in The Wigmore Group plc, representing 2.43% of its issued share capital.

The realisation is slightly in excess of the carrying value in the last
published balance sheet of Artisan (UK) plc as at 31 March 2003.

Artisan (UK) plc continues to hold #600,000 in convertible loan notes issued by
The Wigmore Group plc.
