A Former Health System CEO, Mr. Statuto Has
Over 30 Years of Leadership Experience

Inc. (Nasdaq: APEI) today announced it has appointed
Richard J. Statuto, an accomplished
health system CEO, to its Board of Directors, effective
March 6, 2025. The appointment brings
the total number of APEI board members to nine.
Mr. Statuto, currently Chairman of the Board of Directors at
Charlotte, N.C.-based Premier,
Inc., also previously served as President and CEO of Bon Secours
Health System, one of the largest health systems in the United States, for 13 years. Prior to
that, he was CEO of St. Joseph Health System for nine years. Both
health systems exceeded $3 billion in
revenue and were highly profitable.

Mr. Statuto has extensive healthcare leadership experience, and

member at American Red Cross Orange County California, Covenant
Health System, The Innovation Institute, Mercy Housing, the
American Heart Association, and Kmart.
Mr. Statuto earned his MBA from Xavier
University and has a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University.
