Austar Shareholders Vote In Favor Of Foxtel Takeover

Austar shareholders have voted strongly in favour of Foxtel's
1.52 Australian dollars-a-share offer.
Austar's board told shareholders at the company's annual general
meeting Friday that it expected a decision on whether Australia's
competition watchdog would approve the merger by April 13.
If the merger was given its long-awaited clearance, shareholders
will be paid for the cash offer by April 26, the board
confirmed.
