                                  Board Change



Genus plc ("Genus" or the "Group"), the international bovine genetics company,
announces today that Michael Roller, Group Finance Director, will leave the
Group with effect from today to pursue other opportunities.


Philip Acton, currently Chief Operating Officer of the Animal Health division,
having moved only recently to this broader managerial role from Group Finance
Director, will re-assume the role of Group Finance Director for an interim
period until a replacement is found. The Board has commenced the search for a
new Group Finance Director.



Richard Wood, Chief Executive of Genus, said:


"We thank Michael for his contribution to Genus and wish him well for the
future. We are actively seeking a suitable permanent replacement for Michael. An
announcement will be made in due course. Philip has considerable experience in
handling the Group's finances having been Group Finance Director since 1995."
