Application has been made for the admission to trading on AIM of 219,400
ordinary shares of 10p each in Genus plc ("the Company"). The shares have been
issued pursuant to the exercise of share options by certain employees of the
Company.  The shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing
issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

Trading in these shares is due to commence on 18 June 2003.
