I agree.
It is artificial in the sense that it is not caused by an economy in distress
I used the word chaos. Generally chaos causes distress imo.
It’s artificial because our President, rightly so is protecting our great country. and yes it will be temporary.
I agree tariffs are a protectionist economic tool. How long this lasts isn't clear at all in this moment. In your opinion can you better define "temporary".
The other countries don’t have the cards.
Some may have more cards than others and negotiations are inevitable. I agree. Which ones do have a decent hand, which ones will negotiate in good faith and which ones will bluff and retaliate is still unknown. Gambling with a global economy reset is quite risky again in my opinion.
If tariffs from other countries were fair they would come out with their own charts to show that. They don’t.
Some of them still might or may stop playing this game at all.
All they do is imply Trump is a bully

If behavior is a defining personality characteristic by which one is judged in society, I would agree that he acts like a bully. And many don't imply it, it's becoming common knowledge.

P.S. Thanks for sharing that and fwiw lumber from Canada is exempt from the recent tariffs though they may be coming in the future, not sure about energy.
