RESIGNATION AND APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS

Following the announcement on Friday, 5 September 1997 that the offer by Dana
Petroleum plc for Seafield Resources plc ("Seafield") had been declared
unconditional, Seafield hereby announces the following changes to its board of
directors.

On Friday, 5th September 1997 John Raitt, John Chiene, Colin Webster and
Graham Brown resigned as directors of Seafield and Thomas Cross, Roy Askew and
John Craven were appointed as directors of Seafield.

As a result the full board of Seafield is now as follows:  Thomas Cross, Roy
Askew, John Craven, Roger Witts and Hilary Worboys.
