COMPUTACENTER WINS BT CONTRACT

Computacenter, the UK's largest IT systems and services provider today
announces that it has won a new three year contract to supply BT with
desktop products and related services commencing October 1st 1999, with an
option to extend for an additional 2 years.  This contract acts as a
continuation of the relationship that Computacenter has held with BT for the
past four years.

This contract is focused on the provision of services.  Commenting on the
announcement Chris New, Computacenter Director of Corporate Development UK,
commented: "This is a very exciting new contract for us, we will be
developing eCommerce solutions, supply chain re-engineering and innovative
maintenance offerings for BT. We are delighted to win this new contract
against strong competition."

"However, our relationship with BT goes beyond simply supplying product and
services.  We are working closely together to develop solutions that will
deliver greater value to our mutual customers," he concluded.

The new BT contract covers a greater mix of services, which is in line with
Computacenter's strategic direction.
