               Notification of First Quarter Trading Statement


The Big Food Group plc will be releasing its first quarter trading statement of
the 2004/2005 reporting year on Monday 12th July 2004, in respect of the
thirteen weeks to Friday 2nd July 2004, and not as previously announced earlier
today on Friday 9th July 2004.
