Limited Programme for Issuance of Debt Instruments

Westpac Banking Corporation today gave notice of the redemption in full of its
callable notes issued off its Programme for the above-referenced instruments.

The due date for redemption is 12 March 2008, subject to adjustment in
accordance with the Modified Following Business Day Convention.
