Viyya Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: VYON), the developer and marketer of the world's most advanced, web-based information management application, announced an update from John Bay on progress relating to activities from 2008 and plans for the Internet Search and Discovery marketplace in 2009:

Let me begin by apologizing to all shareholders for the lack of information and press releases the past few months. Since our inception, it has been company policy to report information quickly and precisely but the past few months have seen changes in every business throughout the world and we are no exception.

The market downturn has affected Viyya and its ability to provide financial and programming resources to each line of business. We have been forced to spread our existing staff over multiple large projects rather than fortifying our development efforts with new staff from funding. So over the past 90 days, management has formulated a revised game plan along with major priorities for the company moving forward.

First, we will continue to customize VIYYA(TM) and build the VIYYA Information Store with Xandros in the NetBook marketplace. This contract will provide a lucrative revenue stream especially with VIYYA's new advertising based model coming in 2009.

Second, we will continue to customize and test VIYYA with carriers worldwide as mobile data revenues now eclipse 20% of the operators' total revenue. We will focus on those carriers concentrating on the concept of "Mastering of Information." This term looks to information as a core aspect of Internet usage and the VIYYA platform fits perfectly within the market, both from an application and platform perspective, especially with the release of our Information Store.

Third, we will continue our development of smartphone applications as we have for the Apple iPhone, Research in Motion Blackberry and Samsung Omnia devices. Smartphones are one of the few areas of projected growth in 2009. In fact, Fierce Wireless projects that the North American market is one of the fastest growing smartphone markets in the world with a second quarter 2008 increase of 78.7%.

These three core business segments have utilized all of our resources -- especially in the design of both the Information Store and the new, "free-to-end-user" advertising model. We will release more on these two important strategies after the first of the year.

Lastly, we will continue efforts in the campus security sector but under a new structure. Rather than staff up ourselves, we will be utilizing third party partners that already have made an investment in sales and marketing, and already have a user base of clientele.

These have been our priorities and the smaller, resource-consuming contracts with many NY State agencies will not be target markets in 2009. These have proved to be very long sales cycles and the recent economic downturn has forced major statewide budget cuts, all but closing this marketplace for the foreseeable future.

The strategy we began to employ in September will not bode well for our 2008 revenue projections but will assure all shareholders that Viyya will be here in 2009 and beyond with a core set of applications and technology second to none in lucrative and tested markets.

We expected to generate revenue from these smaller NY State opportunities during the second half of 2008 and to use this period as our springboard for achieving substantial growth in 2009. Unfortunately, the economic conditions have not been kind to us and we will begin our revenue generation in 2009 with the implementation of the strategies described above.

As always, we thank our shareholders for their support of our company and we pledge that your support will be rewarded in the near future.
