Sentry Select Primary Metals Corp. (TSX:PME) treasury offering raises $68,172,000

Sentry Select Primary Metals Corp. (the "Company") (TSX:PME) is pleased to
announce that its treasury offering (the "Offering") closed today. The Offering
raised aggregate gross proceeds of $68,172,000 resulting from the issuance of an
additional 7,600,000 Class A shares ("Shares"). Shares were issued at a price of
$8.97 per Share, which reflects the Company's net asset value per Share of $8.56
as at March 28, 2012, plus the per Share fees and expenses of the Offering.  The
Agents (as defined below) have been granted an over-allotment option exercisable
within 30 days of the closing of the Offering to purchase up to an additional
1,140,000 Shares at a price of $8.56 per Share which, if fully exercised, would
bring the total gross proceeds of the Offering to approximately $78.4 million,
before deducting the payment of expenses of the Offering by the Company.


Use of proceeds

Subject to the Company's investment restrictions, the Company intends to use the
estimated net proceeds of the Offering to invest in securities in accordance
with the investment objective and investment strategy of the Company.
