Great American Insurance Group Announces Promotions

Great American Insurance Group recently announced the promotions
of Timothy C. “Tim” Weber and Jeffery D. “Jeff” Kohl.
Tim Weber, AIC was named Divisional President of Great
American’s Crop Division, succeeding Ron Brichler, who will
continue in his role of Senior Vice President of Great American
Insurance Company, overseeing these operations. Mr. Weber most
recently served as the Divisional Executive Vice President of the
Crop Division where he is responsible for day-to-day operational
matters within Great American’s Crop Division. Mr. Weber has been
involved in the Crop Insurance Industry in varying levels of
responsibility with Great American for the past 21 years. Prior
responsibilities included loss adjustment, claim supervision,
marketing, regional office manager and national claim manager.
Prior to joining the Crop Insurance Industry, he was an educator
and coach for seven years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree
from Northern State University.
Jeff Kohl has been promoted to Divisional Senior Vice
President, overseeing the IT Infrastructure of Great American
Insurance Group. Mr. Kohl is responsible for creating and executing
the infrastructure vision, which is a key component of Great
American’s information technology strategy. Mr. Kohl and his team
have led efforts to transform the Great American infrastructure to
one that provides a modern technology foundation and high level of
service on both new and existing platforms. Highlights of this
success include the establishment of a new Data Center and Disaster
Recovery Site, consolidation of multiple data centers,
virtualization of the growing server environment, implementation of
a tiered storage environment, Identity Access Management
solutions, integration and consolidation of certain core
services as well as Corporate Phone System Upgrades. He has served
as an IT professional operating in the property/casualty insurance
business for the past 20+ years, taking on various management and
leadership positions within the Company. Mr. Kohl holds a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Computer Science/Mathematics from Xavier
University.
