Another point of interest from the business channel about Amazon. They, meaning Amazon, is discontinuing lower priced items. Claim they can't make enough money on those items to even carry them in stock. This is "FIVE'S sweet spot.

Anyone interested in this stock should find this article of great interest. Long term two factors stick look very good to me. One, shoppers find the stores a great and interesting place to shop for less expensive items. Kind of Amazon proof!!. Two, the growth moving forward, 745 stores with 2500 coming in the next 2 years. 30+% margins. Seems like a really good combination.

it's like a dollar store and a novelty store together with better stuff $5 instead of just $1
good deals on headphones and small electronics when I visited
bulk candy, exercise equipment, super cheerful helpful staff, store music
wide open orderly layout with room, unique neat selection, products with high profit potential
have a lot of retail store work experience, this is a good store

buying covered calls on margin makes 15.7% a month or 5.25x a year compounded
this is whatever large funds are used and even if the stock goes nowhere
but the SCTR is above 50 so it is at least mildly bullish
great timing with stochastics in lower boundary at the gap up area but this is not really required here with this more relaxed method
perfect stock for covereds that cost a lot so it seems boring and keeps flippers away

"Five Below is currently trading at 54 times forward earnings, well above its competitors whom trade around 15-18 times forward earnings. Should we see comparable same store sales continue to slow, in combination with any hints of a store growth slowdown, multiple contraction would be devastating to shareholders. Best case, if the company was able to successfully dominate new markets with additional stores the company would then be just fairly valued. Such high valuations are rarely reserved for companies selling Snickers and cheap iPhone cases."

Dollar General or Dollar Tree is it's niche audience.

Perfect for getting the kids out of the house and picking up something for them cheaply.

Kids need attention...if I can five something for under $5 bucks to keep them occupied for a few hours...I am there.

I agree. I really like this business model. I think it is closer to a Dollar General company model than Wal-Mart, but it has just started it's expansion.

I have a feeling this is going to storm through the nation.

Think about Wal-Mart and Targets toy sections, they are pretty lame.

Toys R Us is just too darn expensive in any economic times.

The old KB Toys of yesteryear doesn't exist anymore. (use to love that store)

If I was young and my great grandmother was still around this would be the place we would visit every week, besides McDonalds, of course.

Let's see how this goes with the IPO.
