Press reports put it at around 60 billion. I think PXD has about 233 million shares outstanding. If my math is correct that would put it at about 259-260 per share, but like most things no one knows for sure until the offer is made public

Bought in last week at around $237. Thinking I sell on Monday expecting it should go up day before Xdividend date Tuesday. Anyone here have experience with this scenario? In this case would make more than dividend and maybe buy back when it goes down Tuesday?
Researched but getting two stories. One saying you need to buy three days before xdividend date to ensure you qualify (time to process transaction required?). The other saying as long as you buy Monday?
Any insights would be appreciated

Wow, and I thought selling at $140 could’ve been a mistake...whew...

If Donald Trump isn't re-elected, this stock and sector is finished. Consider this a political post or not, I really don't care. If we have a democrat elected president, he'll introduce legislation that will KILL the fracking industry. It's all about the renewables for this party! Much of my content about the coronavirus is being removed. The impact from the coronavirus will affect everything. Major Cities in all countries could come to a halt - basically quarantined. This will impact transportation, which obviously has a direct impact to this sector/stock. To have content removed as "off-topic" is absurd! It's pleasing that this board is not moderated. I hope it stays this way!

Difficult to make a call in this stock with mixed perspectives among Fund Managers and Analysts. The charts has also mixed signals but is predominantly Bearish with increased selling pressure. Options traders however have been buying the $180 calls in quite high volume . We will sit on the sidelines and see how this plays out before considering a position.
