                      UBC reports latest listening figures

UBC Media Group plc (LN.UBC), the digital radio broadcaster and programme
producer, is pleased to report an increase in listening to Oneword Radio, the
national digital station that it owns jointly with Channel 4 Television.

Oneword has increased its Total Hours of listening in the latest official RAJAR
audience figures published today, compared with the data released three months
ago.

Its listening in the latest RAJAR report (Q2, 2006 data release) has grown by
10% to 448,000 Listening Hours (Q1 2006 data release: 408,000).

Oneword listeners are also becoming more loyal to the station, extending their
average listening time by 24 minutes per week. (Average Hours Q2 2006: 3.5 hours
per week, Q1 2006: 3.1 hours.)

The 'Classic Gold Digital' (CGDL) network of radio stations continues to face
challenges as listeners migrate from AM analogue to digital. Total listening to
the network across the UK now stands at 6,081,000 hours per week. (Q1 2006:
7,069,000.) The network is, however, becoming less reliant on listening in areas
where it broadcasts on analogue Medium Wave frequencies. 22.5% of its listening
is now derived from areas where CGDL's transmissions are exclusively digital.
(Q1 2006: 21.4%.) In these areas, listening has nearly doubled in the last
year to 1,371,000 Listening Hours per week (Q2, 2005: 709,000).

Commenting on the RAJAR figures, Simon Cole, Chief Executive of UBC said:

"Oneword Radio continues to go from strength to strength. The increase in
listening shown in this RAJAR report coincides with an exciting new weekend
schedule which was introduced at the end of March, and comes at a time when
Oneword is enjoying ever-increasing support from our partners at Channel 4.

The position at Classic Gold is more complex; however, we can still see a clear
move towards digital listening. With the Digital Radio Development Bureau
recently reporting that 55% of UK households now have access to digital radio
services we can expect that trend to continue."
