 Prometheus Strengthens Management Team by Appointing Stanislas Yassukovich as
       Chairman and Jeffery A. Spencer as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO")



January 2, 2007



Prometheus Energy Company ("Prometheus"), an alternative and renewable energy
company, is delighted to announce it has appointed Stanislas Yassukovich to the
company's board as Non-Executive Chairman with immediate effect.



Prometheus also is pleased to announce that it has appointed Jeffery A. Spencer
as Chief Financial Officer, again with immediate effect.  Mr Spencer will report
to Chief Executive Officer Kirt Montague and attend Board meetings with the
intention that he will join the Board in due course.



The appointments offer the company important additional non-executive and
executive resource to support its growth and ambitions.



Mr Yassukovich, with over 40 years experience in international capital markets,
has strong financial and investment knowledge and expertise. Latterly, he was
Chairman of Merrill Lynch Europe from 1985 to 1991 and has held many other
notable positions including Chairman of EASDAQ (1997 to 2000), Chairman of The
Securities Association (1987 to 1991), Deputy Chairman of the London Stock
Exchange (1986 to 1989) and Vice Chairman of Bristol & West (1991 to 1999). He
was awarded a CBE in 1991.



Mr Spencer joins Prometheus following 20 years as a financial executive in
domestic and international financial administrative management in capital
intensive industries. He was previously Assistant Treasurer at Koch Industries,
the United States' largest private company. Other experience includes a position
as Vice President and CFO of Energy Investment Management (2002 to 2003) and ten
years in various positions at Southern Company and its subsidiaries, where Mr
Spencer began as a financial analyst in 1982.



Kirt Montague, Prometheus' Chief Executive Officer, said:  "We are delighted

Mr Yassukovich is currently Chairman of Park Place Capital, Henderson Euro Trust
plc, Folio Corporate Finance Ltd, Cayzer Continuation PCC, Ltd and Manek
Investment Management Ltd, and he is Deputy Chairman of ABC International Bank
plc. He is also a Director of Fortis Investments. He was Deputy Chairman of
Telewest between 1999 and 2003.
