                               Holding in Company

ASOS was advised on 11 August 2005 that Fidelity International Limited has
acquired 800,000 ordinary shares in the Company and now holds a total of
5,792,900 ordinary shares, which represent approximately 8.07 per cent. of the
entire issued share capital of the Company.

Of the total shareholding notified, 4,897,100 ordinary shares are held in the
name of JP Morgan, Bournemouth, 36,900 ordinary shares in the name of Brown
Brothers Harriman and Co, 732,200 ordinary shares in the name of Brown Bros
Harrimn Ltd Lux and 126,700 ordinary shares in the name of Clydesdale Bank plc.
