Ferrovial Servicios, S.A. (Ferrovial) has become interested in a further
13,275,452 ordinary shares since its announcement on 30 May 2003 and therefore
for the purposes of Part VI of the Companies Act 1985 (the Act) is interested in
a total of 237,939,827 ordinary shares in the share capital of Amey plc. 
Ferrovial is the registered holder of none of the above mentioned shares as at
today's date and are unaware of the identity of the present registered holders
of all of the above mentioned shares.  Registration of the transfer has not yet
taken place.  The shares will be registered in the name of Ferrovial.  The
registration of 6,951,824 of these shares is subject to the resolution of
defects in or relating to the relevant transfer agreements.  Pending
registration of the shares in Ferrovial's name its interest is by virtue of
section 208(5) of the Act.
