Singapore state investment company Temasek Holdings and U.S.
buyout company Advent International are among investors in talks to
buy a controlling stake in Brazilian electronic-toll-collection
company Servicos & Tecnologia de Pagamentos SA, Bloomberg News
reported Tuesday, citing two unnamed sources.
STP hired Banco BTG Pactual SA to sell an undisclosed stake to
fund expansion, the report on Bloomberg's website said.
U.S. private equity company General Atlantic LLC, Brazil bank
Itau Unibanco Holding SA (ITUB) and payment processing company
Cielo SA (CIOXY) are also holding talks with STP, the report quoted
a source as saying.
STP said in an emailed statement it has been evaluating offers
and hasn't made a decision, while Temasek, Advent, General
Atlantic, Itau and Cielo declined comment, the report said.
