Bearclaw Announces Appointment of Jeff Durno as Director

Bearclaw Capital Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BRL)(FRANKFURT:5BQ) is pleased to announce
that Jeff Durno has agreed to join its board of directors. Mr. Durno's
appointment once again gives Bearclaw two fully independent members on its
board.


Mr. Durno is the managing partner of Anfield Sujir Kennedy & Durno, a Vancouver
law firm focusing on corporate and securities law. Mr. Durno serves as an
officer or director of several public companies.


To permit Mr. Durno to join the board, Bill Gilmour (who, as a partner in the
firm that provides consulting services to the company, is not considered to be
an independent director) has graciously agreed to resign. Mr. Gilmour was
previously a director of the company between late 2003 and 2007 and re-joined
the board in January of this year, following the untimely death of Jock Ross,
Bearclaw's founder and President and CEO. The Board would like to acknowledge
Mr. Gilmour's contribution to the company during this transition period, and to
thank him for taking on that role. Management proposes to nominate Mr. Gilmour
for a position on the board at the company's next annual general meeting.
