Young gets 39% of fan vote to edge out USC's Reggie Bush and Texas Tech's Cody Hodges ATLANTA, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The individual accolades continue to roll in for Texas quarterback Vince Young as he stamps his name on the school's record books and keeps the team alive in the national championship hunt. Today he was named the Cingular/ABC Sports All-America Player of the Week after impressing college football fans across the nation with a career-high 336 total yards and five touchdowns in the Longhorns' 42-17 win over Colorado Saturday. Young also won the award on September 15 after his performance in the team's victory at Ohio State. This is the only major college football honor determined exclusively by fan voting. Young, one of four candidates for the All-America Player of the Week as selected by a panel of ABC Sports and ESPN college football analysts, garnered 39% of the overall fan vote.
