ALLENTOWN, Pa., Feb. 19,
2025 /PRNewswire/ -- PPL Corporation employees and
retirees, together with matching contributions from PPL's
affiliated foundations, pledged nearly $9 million during PPL's
annual employee-led charitable giving campaign. These
contributions, in partnership with United Way, will support nearly
500 local nonprofit organizations throughout
Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Kentucky and
Virginia.

The amount raised, which set a record for PPL's employee
campaigns, was generated through the company's United Way campaign
in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island and the Power
of One campaign in Kentucky. The campaign supports
organizations in areas where employees live and work and
communities served by PPL and its subsidiaries. The funds will
support ongoing efforts to address the increasing needs of
thousands of people who rely on United Way agencies and nonprofit
organizations for vital services every day. As part of the
campaign, PPL employees from across the company designated
$50,000 to the American Red Cross
Hurricane Relief Fund. The PPL Foundation's matching donation will
bring the total contribution to the hurricane relief fund to
$100,000.
"This campaign is a testament to the compassion of PPL employees
and retirees and our collective commitment to making a positive and
lasting impact on people's lives throughout the communities we
serve," said PPL President and Chief Executive Officer Vincent
Sorgi. "We're a company of tremendous people who care deeply
for others, who give back, and who are dedicated to making the
world a better place."
Employees and retirees from PPL Corporation and its
subsidiaries, PPL Electric Utilities, Rhode Island Energy,
Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company,
contributed to the campaign. More than 700 employees also
volunteered their time in September
2024 during PPL's companywide Day of Caring events, which
directly benefited organizations in their local
communities.
