New Position to Focus on International Business and Corporate Development SCOTT, Miss., Nov. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta and Pine Land Company (NYSE:DLP) ("D&PL"), a leading commercial breeder, producer and marketer of cotton planting seed, today announced a plan to gain synergies in its international and corporate development efforts through the creation of a senior vice president position with responsibility for these areas. Rick Greene, previously Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, will assume this role immediately and will retain responsibility for accounting and finance until a replacement is named. "The Company's business has been evolving for the past several years and our growth strategy places a great emphasis on the international business and the development and commercialization of new technologies. Rick has a keen understanding of these areas, which are crucial to our reaching our mid-term and long-term goals," said Tom Jagodinski, D&PL President and CEO. "He has worked with our international business since joining the company in 1997, and later headed our business development efforts before taking a primary role in accounting and finance. Mr. Greene joins the core leadership team comprised of Mr. Jagodinski and Randy Dismuke, senior vice president of the U.S. business.
