AmSouth Bank (NYSE: ASO) has provided this update on the status of
its branches following Hurricane Katrina: Louisiana All South
Louisiana Offices in New Orleans, Hammond, and Baton Rouge will be
closed. Mississippi The Jackson Main Office and branch will open at
10 a.m. Branches in Clarksdale, Greenville, and Greenwood will open
at 10 a.m. All other Mississippi branches will be closed. Alabama
Branches in Mobile and Baldwin counties will be closed today.
Branches in the Birmingham area, Tuscaloosa, and Walker County will
open at 10 a.m. Tennessee All Tennessee locations will be open.
AmSouth will update the status of its branches throughout the
coming days on www.amsouth.com under the Hurricane Katrina Update.

information on the locations of open branches. Many banking
