I dumped at 48. I was watching it like a hawk and it formed a defending triangle pattern. Not letting these losers steal more of my money and wait 6 months to get it back if I'm lucky.

OT: naw, didn't say short interest SPIKED, I said its likely the shorts
went after the share price aided by triggering stop losses.

As of 1/15, 7 Mil shares were short on CRMD on Yahoo Finance.
Shares available to short are very hard to get..

For the last year, the short volume was running 6.5 - a little over 7 Mil

Now have to wonder, which one is accurate..

Also, bought my first shares of CRMD at 23 cents (pre a 1-5 R/split some time later) that took place.. (smile)

If volume tails off here the shorts will bring this right back down.

Total short at yesterday’s close was 887k shares.
Current stock price is close to 3 year high.

This has now broken below the weekly up trend line. Even though it's still green technicals don't lie. Will have to see if it regains above it or not. Not interested in a reversal. Tired of the nonsense here

OT: CRMD looks like it just got its stop losses cleaned out this morn.

This has been consistently heavily shorted for almost a year now. Makes no sense
given that they are fda approved and increasing their revenue stream. The only problem
I have with them is when there is news, its generally good, but there are long periods of silence
where it can get 'lost' to the market. And the shorts have been good at taking advantage of it.

They just gave a great PRELIM update on the qtr and spiked the share price up, negating what
appeared to be a 'short attack' in progress. Pushed the share price back up where it belonged.

And now with the pending qtrly release on the horizon, out of nowhere this morn, on news that I can
find, it got hit hard. And as the price reached its low point?? The volume ramped up indicating a possible
cleaning out of stop loss orders took place. And just in time for whats expected to be a 'good news' qtrly
release that MAY even include them saying they now have positive earnings just 6 months (or they will be close)
Which should help the share price reach for $14/15 as the revenues are expected to keep rising..

Yep, had just told a few others, CRMD is looking like its being set up for a hit a few days ago, but
didn't expect the depth that it did this morn..

Thank you for your comments. I absolutely hate stop-loss orders. They can wreck it for everyone. If a person doesn't have the balls to get into a jumpy stock, then stay out. Go buy utilities.

Wolf, I just gave you a link that provides Daily Short interest update.
The government’s site FINRA is 2x

Set your target price as you see fit to you.
Keep a close eye of the technical charts (everything is running on technicals).
Short interest.
Phase 3 success 2x, not 1x
FDA fast track.
Price of drug, more than enough to rocket boost
Insurance will be covering it, as it’ll save them money long term.
Federal insurance programs, Medicare will cover it, no basis to deny it.
Other important drugs, progress to be revealed this year.
Doubt & fear is part of it, this stock as well as all other stocks.
Too many well known stocks I follow are down 50% or more (not holding, yet), while the indexes are setting all time high.
Do your own research. Don’t get in based on anyone opinion & your risk tolerance.

updated 2x a MONTH?? So we have no idea what the short load
on a given day, nor how much its changed from day to day.

Guessing since you posted this link, this is the most 'up to date'
FREE short position tracking/reporting site.. that you know about.

Can't forget, Yahoo Finance page also posts the short interest.
But its the same thing, 15th and 30th..

You want real time data which is the only thing worth while if you
really care to know what the shorts are doing daily, you can pay for it.

$ target price: why it matters is, I use a CONSERVATIVE target price
as a starting point. In this case, its just a reasonable guess to see
if the share price is going to do what I would expect it to as the decision date
approaches. IE, is the market paying attention, believing..

Adjust as I get more information.

And as for what it might actually be worth??
We have no fricking idea other than a wild guess. We don't know
-if it will get approved
-what it will sell at per unit
-whether or not it will be covered by insurances
-whether or not the fed insurance programs will reimburse/cover costs/unit used

So all the claims of a target price beyond its POTENTIAL approval are pretty much little
more than a wild guess based on made up assumptions to support them.

Thats why I used 50 cents, now a $, and if it gets there, possibly $3 by Aug.

Why $3? Cause it HAS the POTENTIAL to do something really nice, and the three (or more)
if it happens will to a degree, show the market is paying attention, anticipating approval.

And its based on the MARKET CAP it will have at $3.. Going to have to prove to me
anything higher than that can be justified by approval and sales..

If you bought in for the right reason, believe that Tonix has a potential in 2025, why the $1 price target!
What difference does it make where it trades in the U.S.?
Its value is in its intellectual property, new meds. Tonix did a fund raising recently, enough to carry it thru ‘25.
Mpox medicine testing ongoing, another potential breakthrough. Believed to be more than a vaccine, a potential cure!

@ some point in time, one has got to realize it’s not the better way, but some will never do.

I Don't use stop loss orders, never did.
For the reason you noted.
I thought it’s mostly for overextended investors, who can’t afford to lose!
But as you mentioned, the stop loss limit order price is not guaranteed.
I don’t trade on margin, not since ‘08 crash, for reasons other than the f*fat interest rates brokers charge, brokerage can change the margin rules & close positions w/o notice.
I don’t over allocate to any single stock, in $ terms.
As long as the reasons I bought do not change, I don’t want to sell.
I’ll keep watching, for an opportunity to bag more.

I've seen it several times myself. I got stopped out of a play with a down spike and then within an hr it was double in price from its previous high.

Answer to your 1st question,
It doesn’t matter & the proof is in the fact that stocks do not run one way straight up.
Answer to the 2nd question,
Yes, FINRA & other sites make it their business to track short interest, both legit & naked shorts.
I’ve posted a link many times here, Tonix board.

Ok, its found my 50 cents target price, now to see if it can hold it.

And while I enjoy the big momentum runs, I also hate them cause it
can lead to deep selloffs when the momentum ends.

Yep, give me slow and steady vs chaotic and irrational..

And a $/sh is now my next target price cause that gets them
good for staying listed without needing to ask for an extension or
worse yet, asking for a r/split..

With re: to the shorters...

Unless you are flipping shares, does it matter if the journey takes a
few steps back for a bunch forward? Does it matter if the shorts make
something along the way??

And how do we know if they are 'naked' shorts vs shorts who actually borrowed
the stock?

All I know is, IF the company does what some of us see as possible? And reaches
a target price (for me, $3)?? I will be quite happy.

For those 'flipping' shares: should do a calculation and see where you would
be if you had bought down around 20 cents (or less) and held to know vs
what you have managed to accomplish with your flipping efforts.

RE: the 20 Mil dump...

Just a guess, but the market makers wanted 'shares' cheap to sell at a higher price.

Have warned folks for years now, if you want to keep your shares in something that has
the potential to run? Don't use stop losses, just stay focused on the 'target'.

This looks like one of those classic, hard drops in the share price designed to wipe out the STOP LOSS
orders.

Goes like this:
-demand for the shares sparks a desire for the market makers to go 'get some' (quick gains for them)
=they can SEE the stop loss orders that are 'open/actionable'.
-they start dropping the share price, and then trigger the 'spike' in sell orders by hitting the stop loss prices.
-this SURGE in SELL orders takes the share price a hell of a lot lower than where the stop loss orders were set at.
-it happens fast and the bulk of those stop loss orders are 'filled' near the lows of the dump
-once they are 'filled', the share price quickly returns to whence it came from and a whole lot of folks will
find out they no longer have their shares, and that they got 'less' than the stop loss order price they set cause
that was just the trigger price, on what is essentially a MARKET ORDER..
=and once the price rebounds, all those shares taken away from folks now go on sale at a nice mark up vs what they
were just 'bought' for by the MMs..

not the first time I have seen this, and it happened to me 2x, the first time I was using a STOP LOSS order and fortunately
was watching as it happened and was able to get most of my shares back, yep paying more than they were taken at.
The 2nd time, I saw it happening, but thanks to not having a stop loss, didn't hurt me.

and again, the constant was, good tings were expected to happen and therefore demand for the shares was building.

This Hidden Gem (TNXP) has $57.61 per share Huge Book Value based on the finance.yahoo.com!

In fact, this Huge Book Value is very close to its Average Target Price $53.50!

The daily highs area $1.94 ~ $1.30 on 12/17/2024 are Too Low comparing to either its BV or its ATP!

The 200-Day MAL is $1.41 which is in between 12/17/24's daily highs area $1.94 ~ $1.30!

The next Key technical resistance is the 200-Day MAL $1.41.

TNXP has "BULLISH" ratings from various websites!

Everyone has a demon that tickles his/her fancy. Shorts get off on it, even if it kills them.
What happened today in a lump sum 24 million shares in 5 minutes implies a big player entered the ring, naked short selling was rampant, again.
Total shares short jumped to 280 million today from the prior day of 65 millions.
I’d like to end this post with a note,
“Fuck the SEC for allowing naked shorts, for lack of enforcement”.
Assuming Tonix CEO & Board aren’t willing to take it to the SEC, so they too can joint the SEC wagon.
Will the new administration be any different!
