WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/
-- Tecogen® Inc. (NASDAQ: TGEN) today announced
that Angelina Galiteva has joined the Emissions Advisory Group to
lend her expertise to the Company's vehicle emissions reduction
initiative. The Emissions Advisory Group (the formation of which
was announced earlier this month) is focused on developing
potential applications for Tecogen's breakthrough patented
emissions reduction technology to automotive gasoline engines. The
ultra-clean emissions technology has been rigorously tested by
independent labs and shown to reliably reduce the emission of
criteria pollutants contributing to smog (CO and NOx) to near zero
levels for natural gas engines.
Ms. Galiteva is Founder and Chair of the Board of Renewables 100
Policy Institute, a California-based non-profit organization
dedicated to the advancement of 100% renewable energy solutions.
She is also Chairperson of the World Council for Renewable Energy
(WCRE), Principal of New Energy Options Inc., a member of the Board
of Governors of the California Independent System Operator (CAISO)
responsible for running the state's electricity market, Chairperson
of Tecogen's board of directors, and serves as a Strategic
Consultant on Sustainable Energy and Environmental Issues. "I look
forward to working with the other advisory group members to
confront the automobile emissions challenge head-on using Tecogen's
patented advanced emissions system," said Ms. Galiteva.
"As is evidenced by the recently announced Phase 2 order
(detailed in a prior press release) for emissions retrofit kits,
our technology successfully reduces the emission of harmful
pollutants from spark-ignited reciprocating engines to levels on
par with fuel cells," said Robert
Panora, Tecogen President, COO and lead of the Advisory
Group. "We welcome the expertise and guidance of Ms.
Galiteva as we work to apply this revolutionary technology to
automotive engines."
