Highlights are:
The Lena West area of the new MacKenzie craton has indications of a major
diamond field.
Talmora property contains many magnetic anomalies with characteristics of
kimberlite pipes.
Talmora magnetic anomalies show strong association with kimberlite indicator
minerals (KIMs)
The property lies on a major regional structure associated with diamondiferous
kimberlites.
Mantle focused morphostructure encloses the property favouring multiple
kimberlite intrusions.
High Mg:Ca ratio (2:1) in tills down-ice of property explained by large amount
of kimberlite.
No kimberlite discovery to explain numerous KIMs and unprecedented 18 diamonds
to W & N.
KIMs W of Talmora have uniform compositions over wide area as if from more
restricted area.
Evidence that KIMs W of Talmora are derived from Cretaceous sediments
transported from E.
KIMs to W don't match Slave & Greenhorn (SE) or Darnley Bay (NE) but do match
Talmora (E).
Talmora on high ground outside but near edge of the Cretaceous basin.
Evidence points to Talmora as the source of KIMs in Cretaceous rocks to W & N.
Talmora the only area not yet tested by drilling.
