                      Shareholdings of Directors and PDMRs

Messrs. P C T Warner and P W Collins, Directors of the Company, each purchased
52 Ordinary shares, and Mr M J Stevens, a Director of the Company, purchased 54
Ordinary shares in the Company on 28 September 2007 at 469p each under the
Company's All Employee Share Ownership Plan ("the AESOP"). Messrs. P C T Warner
and P W Collins purchased 26 of their shares as Partnership Shares and 26 shares
each were purchased by the Company as Matching shares under the rules of the
AESOP. Mr M J Stevens purchased 27 of his shares as Partnership Shares and 27
shares were purchased as Matching Shares under the rules of the AESOP. Mr P W
Collins also purchased 191 Ordinary shares, Mr M J Stevens also purchased 181
Ordinary shares and Mr P C T Warner also purchased 177 Ordinary shares in the
Company today at 469p each in respect of Dividend Shares under the AESOP. All
shares were purchased on their behalf by Capita IRG Trustees Limited, the
Trustee of the AESOP. The Trustee will hold the Shares in Trust, with the
Matching shares being held for a minimum period of five years following the date
of the purchase and the Dividend Shares being held for a minimum period of three
years following the date of the purchase. The shares purchased represent less
than 0.001 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.


The Directors' total interests under the AESOP are as follows:-

The Directors' other interests in the shares of the Company are unchanged.



Ms S Harries and Messrs. D J Lanchester and V B Vaghela, PDMRs of the Company,
each purchased 52 Ordinary shares, and Messrs. M D Ovens and J Peacock, PDMRs of
the Company, purchased 54 Ordinary shares in the Company on 28 September 2007 at
469p each under the Company's All Employee Share Ownership Plan ("the AESOP").

as Matching Shares under the rules of the AESOP. Messrs D J Lanchester and V B
Vaghela also each purchased 191 Ordinary shares, Mr M D Ovens also purchased 31
Ordinary shares, Mr J Peacock also purchased 14 Ordinary shares and Ms S Harries
also purchased 13 Ordinary shares in the Company on 28 September 2007 at 469p
each in respect of Dividend Shares under the AESOP. All shares were purchased on
their behalf by Capita IRG Trustees Limited, the Trustee of the AESOP. The
Trustee will hold the Shares in Trust, with the Matching shares being held for a
minimum period of five years following the date of the purchase and the Dividend
Shares being held for a minimum period of three years following the date of the
purchase. The shares purchased represent less than 0.001 per cent. of the
