Directorate Change
Southern Bear plc ("Southern Bear" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the
appointment of Mr. Nigel William Wray, aged 61, as Non-Executive Chairman of the
Company.
Jon Pither is standing down as Chairman to the Company, but will remain on the
Board as a Non-Executive Director.
Steven Hancock, CEO of Southern Bear, commented:
"I would like to thank Jon for all his support and leadership of the Company,
and I am delighted that Jon has agreed to remain on the Board as a non-executive
director."
Nigel Wray, Chairman of Southern Bear, commented on his appointment:

Degwell Properties Limited on incorporation on 9 March 1973 until dissolution of
the company on 1 May 1981. Prior to dissolution, Degwell Properties Limited was
put into receivership;
Landfall Securities (Andover) Limited from 12 July 1971 until dissolution of the
company on May 1981. Prior to dissolution, Landfall Securities (Andover) Limited
was put into receivership;
Oakdene Homes plc, from 10 June 2008 until his resignation on 26 January 2009.
This company is now in administration.
Mr. Wray currently holds 120,752,880 shares in Southern Bear, representing
14.41% of the issued share capital of the Company. In addition, Mr. Wray holds
convertible loan stock to the value of GBP2,050,000, further details of which
can be found in the announcements of 1 May 2009 and 21 December 2009.
The Company confirms there is no other information that falls to be disclosed
under Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules.
