Annual General Meeting, Trading Update and Appointment



At today's AGM, all the resolutions tabled were passed.



The Chairman, Chris Pople, announced that the first quarter's trading was
slightly ahead of expectations, which supports the company's aspirations for the
year as a whole.



He also announced the appointment of Dave Fergus as the new Chief Executive of
Redwoods Dowling Kerr (RDK), the Group's largest division. Dave, aged 43, has a
1st Class Honours degree in Physics from Bristol University and qualified as a
Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse. After four years in their mergers
and acquisitions department, he has spent the last eight years in the waste
management and recycling industries with a strong sales and marketing
responsibility.



Chris Pople commented "This is an excellent appointment for Dipford. First, we
gain a top-class manager with a sales and management background ideally suited
to take RDK on to the next level of growth. Secondly, it relieves Jonathan
Custance Baker, the Group CEO of this responsibility enabling him to devote his
full attention to the overall growth of the Group. This recruitment completes
our management overhaul and leaves us well placed to speed up our growth."
