Directa
Plus and UK-based Heathcoat Fabrics to drive groundbreaking
advancements in technical textiles
Directa Plus (AIM: DCTA), a leading producer
and supplier of graphene nanoplatelets based products for use in
consumer and industrial markets, has launched a collaboration with
Heathcoat Fabrics, a revered leader in the design and manufacture
of advanced knitted and woven fabrics. Rooted in the
UK, this collaboration signifies a confluence of innovation and
best-in-class standards of technical textiles across multiple
sectors.
Heathcoat Fabrics aligns with Directa Plus's vision
of leveraging cutting-edge graphene technology to address complex
challenges and unlock customer value. Its expertise covers a broad
spectrum of markets, including elite 3D spacers, aerospace,
automotive, defense, firefighter protection, parachutes,
healthcare, and belting fabrics.
Integrating Directa Plus' G+® Planar
Thermal Circuit technology into Heathcoat fabrics portfolio is
central to this collaboration. This union is optimized to provide
excellent thermal dissipation properties, helping to control and
regulate the user's body temperature (test results have
demonstrated up to >60% improvements in heat dissipation). It
also enables strong surface resistivity, making it suitable for
various anti-static applications. The fabrics can also gain
antibacterial properties, making G+® a technological platform for
developing textiles that cater to the rigorous demands of various
high-stakes industries, from aerospace to healthcare.
This collaboration further underpins Directa Plus'
commitment to increase the presence of G+® textile technologies in
the UK market in partnership with a leading player. By merging
Directa Plus's expertise in graphene with Heathcoat Fabrics'
manufacturing excellence, we aim to drive groundbreaking
advancements in technical textiles and underscores the Group's
focus on sustainability and high performance.

Notes to
Editors
Directa Plus (www.directa-plus.com) is one of
the largest producers and suppliers of graphene-based products for
use in consumer and industrial markets. The Company's graphene
manufacturing capability uses proprietary patented technology based
on a plasma super expansion process. Starting from natural
graphite, each step of Directa Plus' production process -
expansion, exfoliation and drying - creates graphene-based
materials and hybrid graphene materials ready for a variety of uses
and available in various forms such as powder, liquid and
paste.
This proprietary production process uses a
physical process, rather than a chemical process, to process
graphite into pristine graphene nanoplatelets, which enables
Directa Plus to offer a sustainable, non-toxic product, without
unwanted by-products.
Directa Plus' products are made of hybrid
graphene materials and graphene nano-platelets. The products
(marketed as G+(R)) have multiple applications due to its
properties. These G+(R) products can be categorised into various
families, with different products being suitable for specific
practical applications.
Directa Plus was established in 2005 and is
based in Lomazzo (Como, Italy) and has been listed on the AIM
market of the London Stock Exchange since May 2016. Directa Plus
holds the Green Economy Mark from London Stock Exchange which
recognises companies that contribute to the global green
economy.
