INTERESTS IN SHARES
 
Further to a letter dated 19 August 1998 from Mercury
Asset Management Limited, the Company announces that
pursuant to purchases of 25,000 ordinary 10p shares on
behalf of discretionary management clients who are
invested in an unauthorised unit trust managed by Mercury
Asset Management Limited, the total holding is now
122,500 ordinary 10p shares representing 3.14% of the
Company's ordinary issued share capital.
