CHEMRING CHIEF EXECUTIVE ANNOUNCEMENT 

Chemring Group PLC announces that from today 29 January 1999, David
Evans will take over the responsibilities of Chief Executive of the
Group.  Peter Molony who previously held the position of Chief
Executive will continue to support the Group as a non-executive
director.
