                       CDS APPOINTS VP & COO FOR PARAGUAY


LONDON, England: 6 May 2008 - CDS Oil & Gas Group plc ("CDS" or the "Company"),
the AIM-quoted oil and gas explorer (CDS.L), is pleased to announce the
appointment of Bernard Verdu as Vice President and COO responsible for CDS' oil
& gas exploration project in Paraguay.


Mr. Verdu earned a degree in Geophysical Engineering from CEFOGA in Massey,
France and a Master of Earth Sciences in Geology and Geophysics from the
University of Sciences and Technic of Languedoc in Montpellier, France.  During
a career of more than 33 years he has gained field and general corporate
management experience in the international petroleum and natural gas industry
where he has worked extensively in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.


Patrice Roman, CEO of CDS stated: "We are pleased with the appointment of Mr.
Verdu as he will add a broad understanding of seismic and other exploration
methods as well as general management expertise to our management team in
Paraguay."


CDS is a UK registered company which, through its Paraguayan subsidiary, CDS
Energy S.A., has a 98.1% working interest in three large blocks with substantial
oil and gas exploration potential.  The blocks are located in the prospective
eastward extension into north-west Paraguay of the productive Bolivian Chaco
Basin.
