COMPUTACENTER ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION IN BELGIUM

Computacenter plc, one of Europe's leading IT systems and services
providers, today announced the acquisition of the distributed systems and
services Division of ECS International Belgium. Computacenter will fund
this acquisition from existing cash resources for a total payment of up to
1.64 million Euros.

The ECS Division focuses on corporate customers and is one of the ten
largest corporate distributed systems and services providers in Belgium
with calendar year 1998 revenues in excess of 20 million Euros.

The ECS Division will be the foundation for Computacenter's new Belgian
subsidiary, Computacenter NV/SA. Computacenter will run the business from
its base in Brussels and intends to establish a Branch office in
Luxembourg.

Commenting on the announcement Martin Hellawell, Computacenter General
Manager for Corporate Development and Marketing said:

"The ECS business represents an exciting opportunity for Computacenter to
enter the Belgian and Luxembourg markets while strengthening our European
capability. By further leveraging the scale and expertise of our
established businesses in the UK, France and Germany, we believe that we
can achieve significant growth in these geographies.  Our new local team
will focus on using our core systems and service delivery experience to
deliver 'best-in-class' services to our Belgium and Luxembourg customers."

in developing its leading position on this market in Europe."
